Laura Lowell – Consultant, Entrepreneur, Author and Wine-Lover
I founded Impact Marketing Group in 2005 after leaving Hewlett-Packard, a company I called home for almost 10 years. During my time at HP, I was fortunate to be able to work across many marketing disciplines, industries, customer segments and product categories. I used what I hard learned about Branding during my time at Intel and at UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business to help build the HP consumer marketing team from 2003-2005.
I’ve taken my experiences and the expertise I’ve developed and applied it to help my clients launch their companies and products, and launch new marketing campaigns that get their messages heard in very crowded markets.
I also applied my skills at building the 42Rules book series, a publishing business which was acquired by Sales and Marketing Executive International in 2014. I wrote my first book, 42 Rules for Marketing, in 2007 and it was an Amazon.com bestseller. My second book 42 Rules for Working Moms, combined my expertise and my passion and was featured on Oprah & Friends Radio, The Peter Walsh Show, ABC, The Huffington Post, and more.
My family and I spent 2009-2010 living and working in Malaga, Spain, and was a unique experience that changed our perspective on the relationship between “work” and “life”. In 2013, we made the decision to leave Silicon Valley for the slower paced Sierra Foothills. We now call Vida Buena Farm home, where in our spare time we are partners in Hovey Winery, a local winery.
